The Role:
We are looking for several Trainees to join our Construction & Maintenance teams. You will work across all aspects of civil construction within Council which will also involve completing training and tasks for the successful completion of the Certificate III in Civil Construction. The traineeship is for a period of up to 36 months and the formal training component needs to be completed within that timeframe.
What we are looking for:
You will need to be a motivated individual who will positively contribute and work as part of a hardworking team You will have in interest in or some knowledge of construction methods in the areas of concreting, road works and building works or the ability to acquire this You will be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written with team members and supervisors You will have a willingness and physical fitness to undertake manual handling and labouring tasks in hot and humid conditions You will have some knowledge of and the ability to apply safe work practices including manual handling techniques and follow WHS procedures and policies You will have a current Queensland C Class driver’s licenceYou will also need to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
