Flood Levels Major flooding peaked in Murchison at 12.0 meters last night. Goulburn River at Shepparton reached 11.84 meters at 6am, and is expected to peak at 12.2 meters by Monday 4.00am. Flood Impacts Over 7,950 properties have been flooded. 5,953 residents across Murchison, Tatura, Toolamba and Mooroopna have lost power due to a Powercore substation getting inundated with flood water breaching the levee around it. The time period for power loss is unknown. Power core will be sending messaging out to the affected residents. Tatura's Ballantyne Relief centre has Lost power and we will get a generator organised for the Relief Centre by 7/8am as this is our priority. We are trying to source additional generators as well. 142 residents in that area are on life support. Of those, 25 in the Vulnerable Peoples Registered (VPR) are a priority and VIC POL and Powercore are working with DHHS and GV Health and will make direct contact with vulnerable people to assist in any and all support that is required. Community to the west of Goulburn (Murchison, Mooroopna, Tatura and others) requiring medical/hospital support has been attended to by Kyabram Hospital which has been superb. Transport has been organised and is ready for people requiring travel to GV Health however preference is to go to Kyabram being a closer option and to share the load with GV Health. Flood water has encroached into the premises of Hakea Lodge, however flood modelling predictions strongly suggest no flood water will enter the building and residents of the lodge will not be at risk. This has been communicated to the Lodge on site manager an constant communications is being maintained by VIC POL with the on site manager. Sightseeing and driving around flooded areas

Please do NOT drive into flooded streets to have a look around. We understand this is a unique situation, one which many people have not seen before, but for the people that live in flooded streets this is a devastating event.

Driving in flooded streets creates waves which make flooding worse. Many people can't access their own properties — be respectful and thoughtful.

If you can, offer assistance and support to neighbours, friends and family first.

4. Evacuating with pets

If you have pets and need to leave your home, make sure you have an emergency kit for them. This needs to include Veterinary medication, bedding, food, water and bowls. Ensure animals are wearing a collar and can be identified. If attending a relief centre, place animals in cages or on leads as they will be anxious and stressed, and you will need to make them feel secure and comfortable. Be prepared to set up your dogs in your car – bring a crate or cage.

If possible, leave your pets with friends or family who are in areas safe from flooding - this will be less stressful for them.

5. What to take if you need to evacuate

Have an emergency kit - make sure you have essential items on hand and the kit is in an easy to grab location. It should include:
