Ahead of the Victorian government election this November, Council is calling for continued support and funding across a range of community priorities – including better sport and recreation.
Cardinia Shire Council acknowledges the funding pledge of $1.35 million made by David Farrelly, Liberal candidate for Pakenham, towards improvements at the Officer Recreation Reserve.
Council has been advocating for improvements to these facilities and this funding would kick off the process.
Council will continue to advocate for additional funding support from the state and federal governments to carry out these important capital works projects for our community,
Alongside better sport and recreation facilities, key priorities for the council’s advocacy efforts include better safer roads, public transport, mental health services, access to jobs, community places and services, outdoor spaces and protection for our environment.
