Rooftop Rollin’ @ Fisher’s Ghost

Amateur roller-skaters and brave locals with trust in their balance are encouraged to visit the Campbelltown Mall upstairs carpark during the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost, for Rooftop Rollin’ @ Fisher’s Ghost.

From Thursday 3 November to Sunday 6 November, the upper-level of the multi-deck carpark will be transformed into an open-air roller-skating rink, hosting both day and night sessions. The event will feature two rinks; one for beginners looking for a casual skate, and an advanced rink for those more confident in their skills.

“Campbelltown Mall’s rooftop car park will be completely converted into a fun and interactive space that people of any age can enjoy,” Mayor George Greiss said.

“With the huge popularity of similar activities, such as the ice rink at Chill Fest, we wanted to add something to the Festival of Fisher’s Ghost that built on that excitement” Cr Greiss said.

Participants are encouraged to wear their craziest roller skating attire when skating, inspired by the theme of each session, and are also encouraged to bring their own roller skating gear if they choose. Gear will be available to hire for free throughout the event on each day.

Numbers will be capped to 110 skaters per session to ensure the safety of attendees.

Food and drink will be available from several vendors at each session, and a live DJ will fill the airwaves as locals skate around the rink.

Certain sessions require a booking through the Council website, with select ‘Rock up N Roll’ sessions available to attend without a booking. Themes for each session are available online.
