Public notice: unplanned power outage affecting Comet water supply

UPDATE 3.20 pm: We now have a generator at the treatment plant and water has started pumping. Ergon Energy has been contacted for support.

EARLIER: An unplanned power outage has occurred at the Comet Water Treatment Plant.

Comet residents may experience a loss in water supply until the issue is resolved.

We are currently working on a resolution and will keep you informed through our Facebook page and website.

Note: Properties may experience slight discolouration of the water when the power returns; if you do, it is recommended that you run the water for a short period. If this persists, please contact Central Highlands Regional Council on 1300 242 686.
