General rates concession for eligible rural ratepayers

A general rate concession has been approved for eligible rural ratepayers who have undertaken family succession planning arrangements since 1 July 2021.
If all of the below are applicable, capping may not have been applied to your rate bills since this date and you may be eligible for the concession.
You are rated in the general rate categories of rural land or rural irrigationYou have undertaken family succession planning arrangements with close family members since 1 July 2021These arrangements resulted in changes to your property by way of transfer, separation or amalgamation of lotsCouncil is currently contacting ratepayers that may be eligible to explain and outline the concession application process.
If you don’t receive a letter or email from council by Friday 2 December but think you may be eligible, please contact us on 1300 242 686.
The concession must be applied for by 5.00 pm on 30 June 2023.
