DOG RESTRICTIONS | PENGUIN & PRESERVATION BAY

After consultation with the community, the Council has decided to include two beaches in its Dog Management Policy which was introduced in 2020.

Preservation Bay Beach will now be designated as Restricted, meaning that dogs must be on leads at all times.

Johnsons Beach at Penguin will now be an Exercise Area, dogs are allowed to be off lead, but must be under the control of their owners.

The new restrictions take effect on 1 December 2022.
