The Roles:
Heavy Diesel Fitter/Operator:
As a Heavy Diesel Fitter/Operator you will be a fully qualified tradesperson and plant operator who will be required to service, maintain and repair all heavy plant and equipment, light vehicles, small plant or other assets owned and operated by Council.
What we are looking for:
You will need to operate and maintain Council’s heavy machinery and in particular, the low loader used to transport plant and equipment to and from the workshop and Council depots Required to work anywhere within the Shire, including callouts and work which may require an overnight stay in Council-provided accommodation or camp environments Holding a MC driver’s licence or operator tickets for backhoe, grader, roller and loader will be highly regardedHeavy Diesel Fitter:
The Heavy Diesel Fitter is responsible for delivering a high level of support in the servicing, maintenance and repair of all machinery, plant and equipment and other Council owned assets, as required.
What we are looking for:
You will have high level trade skills and knowledge in the service, maintenance and repair of Council’s plant and equipment. This includes earthmoving machinery, trucks, light vehicles and small engine equipment You may be required to work anywhere within the Shire at times, including callouts and work which may require an overnight stay in Council-provided accommodation You will work well in a team environmentWhat we can offer you:
