Due to the recent heavy rainfall, Redland City Council is urging people to avoid using the tracks and trails within Redlands Coast’s conservation reserves until they dry out.

These include Scribbly Gums Conservation Area (home to Redland Track Park) in Alexandra Hills, Bayview Conservation Area in Redland Bay, Don and Christine Burnett Conservation Area in Sheldon and Eastern Escarpment Conservation Area in Mount Cotton.

Using waterlogged trails can cause substantial damage, spoiling the experience of other users and meaning extra repairs and maintenance costs for Council.

Council will continue to monitor the situation and prioritise repairs and maintenance once the affected areas have dried out.
