Community members are invited to celebrate the festive season at the City of Rockingham’s annual Christmas Festival on 10 December 2022 at Churchill Park from 5pm – 8.30pm.
The Christmas Festival is one of the City’s major annual events held as part of the Summer Series of free entry, family-friendly, smoke and alcohol-free events.
The event will feature music and dance entertainment across two stages at The Lookout and Churchill Park, free children’s activities, food vans, market stalls, a sensory-friendly chill-out zone, roaming entertainment, a snow pit and snow machine, a visit from Santa and the popular switching on of the Christmas lights at 8pm.
City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin encouraged community members to come celebrate Christmas at the Rockingham Foreshore.
“The City’s Christmas Festival has grown to be one of our most popular annual events, with families embracing the opportunity to enjoy the arrival of the festive season in a relaxed, family-friendly environment,” Mayor Hamblin said.
During the Christmas Festival visitors can have their photo taken with Santa and his helpers, while the stunning turning on of the Christmas lights will brighten up Churchill Park, the Beach Plaza, The Lookout and the Boardwalk.Limited additional parking for the event will be available at the Village Green from 4.30pm until full.
Visitors can also catch the 555 bus from Rockingham Station.
