The Cardinia Community Leadership Program celebrated its 2022 graduates at a small ceremony in November.
The program, delivered by Cardinia Shire Council, contributes to furthering the leadership capacity and community participation of some of our community’s emerging leaders.
Cardinia Shire Mayor Cr Tammy Radford congratulated the 17 graduates on completing the six-month course and for progressing their skills and knowledge as community leaders.
“The Cardinia Community Leadership Program has provided participants with the opportunity to build and strengthen their leadership capabilities.
“These leaders will be walking away with increased skills and abilities to be knowledgeable, inspiring, and engaging community mentors within their local communities.
“The 17 graduates now join more than 60 previous program participants as part of the Cardinia Community Leadership Program alumni, and we look forward to continuing to be part of your leadership journey,” the Mayor said.
Each year, program participants are encouraged to engage in active citizenship within the local community and are empowered to take collaborative action around local projects, issues and community building opportunities.
