Council Services and Facilities for the Christmas Holidays Council would like to inform the Moree Plains community of the following services and facilities operating hours for the Christmas period, Saturday 24 December 2022 to Monday 2 January 2023. Unless otherwise noted below, Council’s services and facilities, including the Moree Customer Service Centre, will operate as normal until 3pm Friday 23 December 2022. Services and facilities will recommence as usual from Tuesday 3 January 2023. Waste Services Please be advised kerbside garbage and recycling collections will be as normal. Landfill operating hours: Community Services Bank Art Museum Moree (BAMM) Open 10 am to 1 pm Saturday 24 December 2022 Closed from Sunday 25 December 2022 and reopening at reduced hours 10am to 1pm Tuesday–Saturday, 3–7 January 2023 Back to normal hours at 10am Monday 9 January 2023 Gwydir Daycare and Preschool Closed from 5.45pm Thursday 22 December 2022 and reopening at 7:45am, Monday 9 January 2023 Moree Community Library Closed 5pm Friday 23 December and are reopening at 10am Tuesday 3 January 2023 Dhiiyaan Aboriginal Centre Closed from 5pm Friday 23 December 2022 and is reopening 8.30am 9 January 2023 Moree Regional Airport Will operate as usual Moree Tourism Open 9am to 12pm, Saturday 24 December 2022 Closed 25, 26, 27 December 2022 Reopening at 9 am, Wednesday 28 December 2022 The Visitor’s Centre will remain open for all other public holiday including Monday 2 January 2023 Ranger Services Please call the after-hours service on 6757 3222 to access Ranger Services for emergencies Water Filling Station (Maude Street, near Council depot) Will continue to be available 24/7.
