Boggabilla Water Supply

Council would like to assure residents in Boggabilla that we are now aware of the water quality concerns of the treated (potable) town water supply in Boggabilla.

Council has taken samples of the water and we are currently waiting on the results to determine the cause of the issue.

In the meantime, we are flushing the water mains in an attempt to remove what is causing this problem.

We ask residents to remain vigilant and urge residents to boil any water supply first and where possible please use bottled water until we can determine the issue.

Domestic pets and livestock should also be monitored if they have consumed the treated water.

Council is continuing to monitor the situation and we will notify residents as soon as the results of the water sampling are returned.

Council appreciates your understanding as we work to reinstate our usual high-quality supply.
