The new Capeen Creek Bridge Number 1 was opened to traffic today. Council started building the bridge last year and it is the second of three new bridges on Capeen Creek Road that have so far been completed. Work on the third bridge is in progress.
The new bridge on Pines Road (pcutured) has also been opened to traffic.
Work on new bridges on Tunglebung, Iron Pot and Levers roads is continuing, while work began this week on new bridges on Old Lawrence and Deep Creek roads.
Pothole patching crews are currently working on Horseshoe Creek and Green Pigeon roads and Clarence Way. They will be moving to the Ettrick area next.
Roadworks have recommenced on Dyraaba Road and Clarence Way between Urbenville and Woodenbong. Council also is carrying out interim repairs on Ettrick Road (Kyogle end), with the work expected to be completed by the end of the week.
Flood damage grading crews are working on Trentys Lane and Pitches, Yabbra, Killaloe and Sextonville roads. Sealed road flood rehabilitation works are being carried out on Bingeebeebra, Theresa Creek and Collins Creek roads.
Landslips are being repaired on Lost Pinnacle Road, Kyogle Road near Williams Road and Kyogle Road near Bolziccos Road. Work to repair a landslip on Old Cobb O Corn Road is expected to start by the end of the week. Council also is undertaking landslip repair investigations on Boundary and Ettrick roads.
