Works to make the general waste drop off area at the Kyogle Landfill Facility safer to use will be undertaken from Monday 20 February – Monday 13 March 2023, weather permitting.
During this time, residents will not be able to take large loads of household waste or bulky goods to the Kyogle Landfill Facility for disposal, as the current drop off bays which allow residents to place waste into skip bins without heavy lifting will not be open.
Residents will be able to dispose of domestic waste in wheelie bins or other small bins via an alternative skip bin on site. Staff will be available to assist with disposal of small quantities of rubbish, however, will not be able to lift heavy items for you due to health and safety risks.
Other services provided at the Landfill including access to the Community Recycling Centre and drop off for other materials such as green waste, recycling, steel/metals, fridges, tyres and mattresses will remain unaffected during the works.
If you do need to visit the Kyogle Landfill Facility during the works period please make sure you observe all safety measures in place on site and follow all directions provided by landfill staff. Please also allow some extra time for your visit as delays are likely to be experienced.
Council appreciates your patience and understanding while these works are being undertaken.
