Fourteen local students are about to start their university studies on the right note with financial support from Logan City Council and other South East Queensland businesses and organisations.

The $5000 Tertiary Education Bursaries are awarded annually to City of Logan students starting full-time undergraduate studies in that year.

Acting Mayor, Councillor Natalie Willcocks, said the successful recipients for 2023 had the world at their feet after finishing Year 12 last year.

“As a former teacher, I was always so proud to see students achieving big things in life after school,” Cr Willcocks said.

“For some families, the costs associated with further study can be quite expensive.
