Council is pleased to announce that it has established an interim agreement with BelgraviaPRO, an experienced accommodation provider that will ensure the Lake Colac caravan park continues to operate uninterrupted through the holiday season.
In mid-2022 Council undertook an expression of interest process, as required under Crown Land leasing guidelines, but was unsuccessful in establishing a long-term lease for the caravan park. Therefore, Council has made interim arrangements until 30 June for the park to operate while it considers options for longer term arrangements.
“BelgraviaPRO will commence management of the Park from 27 January, operating under the new name of ‘Lake Colac Holiday Park’,” Chief Executive Officer Anne Howard said.
“The park is an important accommodation provider and well-loved holiday destination in a beautiful location, and we’re happy to be working with BelgraviaPRO to ensure that the park can continue to operate.
“BelgraviaPRO’s new booking system is scheduled to go live on the morning of Friday 27 January, until that time we encourage anyone interested in staying at the Lake Colac Holiday Park to email Council and we will provide guests with the booking link as soon as it is available.
“With the public holiday on Thursday, we anticipate many people may take the Friday off to enjoy a long weekend. The 2023 Cororooke Brolga Festival is on this weekend, so it’s a fantastic time to book into the park and enjoy spending time in Colac Otway,” Ms Howard said.
Guests wishing to book the Lake Colac Holiday Park can email [email protected] prior to the booking system opening on 27 January.
