Are you a local resident, business owner or do you identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander? Interested in sharing your knowledge and perspective?
The Town needs community representatives to join our Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) Working Group so we can ensure that the forthcoming RAP represents your views.
The group will contribute to the Town's Reflect RAP, which clearly sets out the steps an organisation should take to prepare for reconciliation initiatives in subsequent RAPs.
Committing to a Reflect RAP will allow the Town to scope and develop relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander stakeholders who will assist in shaping the Town’s vision for reconciliation.
RAPs provide a structured, nationally recognised, tried and tested model for organisations to formalise commitments to reconciliation and help foster a community of shared values and goals.
Working group expressions of interest can be lodged by an online form, email or post before Sunday, 5 March 2023. More details are available here.
Please phone the Town on 9347 6000 for queries.
