As a Street Sweeper Operator you will be responsible for the operation and general maintenance of Council’s Street Sweeping plant and to keep roads, carparks and paths clean across the Shire.
The Street Sweeper Operator will also assist the Parks & Garden’s team in the completion of tasks which may include landscape construction, maintaining parks, gardens and playgrounds.
What we are looking for:
You will need to be a reliable self-starter who takes pride in their work and enjoys early morning starts as this position commences work daily at 5:00 am most days You will have experience with operating a street sweeper You will have a current HR Class driver’s licence and a minimum of 2 years driving experience You will need to be able to safely operate Council plant such as tractor/slasher combinations, brush cutters and chainsaws, or the ability to quickly acquire these skills You will need to be physically fit to undertake manual handling and labouring tasks in hot and humid conditions and be able to follow safe work practices.You will also need to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment medical assessment which includes a drug and alcohol screen.
