Did you know you can save money and still access your favourite magazines by using the Library? Lithgow City Council Libraries have magazines in both physical and electronic formats and they are FREE for library members.
Electronic magazines have been available for some time via the Libby platform, but the library is happy to announce that some very popular Australian titles have now been added to the BorrowBox platform.
On BorrowBox you will find emagazines covering health, wellbeing, lifestyle, gardening, motoring, celebrity news and gossip, motoring, and crafts. Titles including Women’s Weekly, New Idea, Organic Gardening, Wheels, Gay Times, and Minecraft World are just some of the 35 titles available to borrow. You are bound to find something to suit your taste.
Titles are available to borrow for 21 days, you can access back issues and subscribe so that you automatically get access to the latest issue. Often when you purchase physical magazines all you do is browse and perhaps read an occasional article which can become quite expensive.
With the cost of living skyrocketing many people are looking to cut costs where they can so why not utilise the services of your local library? Membership is free and your library card gives you access to both physical and electronic resources. You also get free computer use and there are always great programs and activities happening.
