Isaac Regional Council would like to provide the Moranbah community with an update regarding ongoing issues with potholing on Mills Avenue between Barron Court and Schifcofske Drive.
Underground water issues have caused severe potholing over several months in sections along Mills Avenue. Council is continuing to investigate to locate the source of the water.
Further investigations have been occurring to locate existing drainage infrastructure and determine a suitable solution to drain the water away.
Council is planning to complete drainage works and repairs on the road during March. There will be a temporary road closure to affected sections of the road during the drainage and road works. Please keep an eye on Council’s website for updates on when the roadworks will occur.
Council is also conducting daily monitoring and pothole repairs in the area, which will continue until the permanent repairs are completed.
Temporary detours and directional signage have been put in place to help make the area safe for road users. Please abide by all signage and maintain caution on the road during this time.
If you require further information please contact Council’s Customer Service Centre available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on 1300 ISAACS (1300 472 227).
