Rush Festival set to return

The Rush Festival is set to return with 3 days of activities and entertainment from 6 – 8 October 2023.

Following the success of last year’s Rush Festival as part of the 150 year celebrations, the weekend of entertainment and activities is coming back.

Council is committed to making the Rush Festival a signature event for the Region, one that the community will get behind and be proud of.

Mayor Frank Beveridge said Council was excited to announce the return of the Festival and is looking forward to making this event a real drawcard.

“This year’s event will certainly be a fun, action packed weekend for all ages, with activities planned to cater for everyone,” said Mayor Beveridge.

Festivities will commence on Friday, 6 October with the annual Twilight Markets & Film Festival, where you will be able to enjoy laid back entertainment, watch locally made short films, grab something tasty to eat and browse the stalls for a bargain.

Saturday will see live music from 2pm, with various artists rocking the stage through the afternoon and well into the night, followed by the annual Towers Rush event on Sunday morning.

This year’s festival will once again see headline artists, alongside local performers.

“Council is hoping the event will increase visitation to the Region, with visitors encouraged to use their downtime to explore local businesses and attractions.

“Announcing this event now gives everyone, especially visitors from outside our region, the opportunity to lock the date in and plan an extended stay so they can really enjoy their time here and explore what we have to offer,” continued Mayor Beveridge.

Announcements regarding the acts that will be entertaining attendees on Saturday will be made a little closer to the event, however everyone is encouraged to keep the weekend free, share the news and make plans for a great weekend.
