Local businesses are invited to a series of free 'lunch and learn' seminars focusing on all aspects of employment.
The seminars have been organised by the Workforce Australia Local Jobs Program in conjunction with Regional Development Australia Far West and Broken Hill City Council.
The aim of the seminars is to create an opportunity to provide information and tools for employers on how to attract, train, develop, and retain their people.
The sessions will offer simple takeaways employers can immediately implement in their business, a checklist of where to go for more information and a concierge service on the back of each seminar to identify and provide access to people and programs to support each specific business such as specialist Human Resources and Work Health and Safety support where needed.
Council's Executive Manager Growth & Investment, Anne Andrews, said it was more important than ever for businesses to look at all aspects of staffing.
"There is a lot of attention at the moment around attracting staff, and this will of course be a big focus of the seminars," said Ms Andrews.
"But in the current economic climate, staff training and development is just as important to ensure long-term retention of the people you want and need in your business."
Registration is required, and those interested in the seminars can register here.
Seminar dates and times are as follows, and a free light lunch will be provided.
