Perth Symphony Orchestra will take the stage in an Aussie rock themed extravaganza at Kingsway Regional Sporting Complex on 25 February, as part of the City of Wanneroo summer events series.

Renowned for performing an eclectic selection of music, Perth Symphony Orchestra have promised a mix of Aussie rock classics that are sure to be a hit for both young and old.

Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said the concert would be the perfect opportunity for families to bring a picnic, sit back and enjoy an evening under the stars.

“Symphony Under the Stars is a major event in our summer calendar of free community events,” she said.

“It is a fantastic opportunity to bring residents together and connect our community.”

Attendees will also be able to enjoy a range of pre-show entertainment including children’s activities and performances from the Challenge Brass Band and Joondalup Symphony Orchestra.

City of Wanneroo resident and Indigenous singer/song-writer Indigo Ellis (17) was chosen as the winner of the City's Search for a Star competition and will take to the stage with Perth Symphony Orchestra.

Eglinton resident Lili Kelly (15) and Yanchep resident Amelia Weston (16) were named runners-up and will also perform, along The Voice Australia finalist Jordan Anthony (18).
