Biennial survey helps council make decisions about services and facilities

Posted on February 27, 2023

The Central Highlands Regional Council will survey residents from across the region starting 6 March to gauge their satisfaction with local government services and facilities.

The biennial survey will be conducted via phone by Brisbane-based independent market research consultant Enhance Research. Phone calls will start on 6 March and will continue until 400 results are received.

‘The results from this survey truly help council make informed decisions about services and facilities across the Central Highlands,’ Mayor Kerry Hayes said.

‘We will also use the results to share with relevant bodies, like state government, and to advocate for better outcomes for our community.’

Survey participants are randomly selected, but will have a demographic spread across age, gender and location to ensure results are representative of the region.

Phone calls will generally occur between 4.00 pm and 8.00 pm on weekdays, as this is when the majority of people are home. If it is an inconvenient time for you, please just let the caller know and an appointment can be made for another time.

If you don’t receive a phone call, there will be an opportunity to answer the same questions and leave feedback online via council’s engagement platform Have Your Say, Central Highlands. The online survey will also open on 8 March and close 2 April.

Results will be collated by Enhance Research and made public via council’s website in July.
