Consultation has begun for Council’s Community Engagement Review project. The project will review and refresh council’s community engagement and communications strategies to ensure that the way council engages is proactive, purposeful and meaningful.
Community members are invited to share their views to improve the way council communicates and consults with the community by completing an online survey, filling out a paper survey at council libraries and offices, or participating in a community workshop.
In response to this survey, Mayor Kerry Hayes stressed the importance of obtaining feedback from the community.
‘As council shapes its future engagement practices, it is important for community members to be involved in this survey,’ he said.
‘Your suggestions and feedback will make a world of difference to our officers, who are committed to providing you with the information you need when you need it.’
Council believes that good engagement leads to better decision-making and is committed to working with the community to achieve the best outcomes.
Now is your chance to help shape the future of council engagement! The consultation will run until 3 April. You can find out more about the project and how to become involved by visiting the project webpage on Have Your Say, Central Highlands.
