This year’s theme is ‘Celebrate Together’ - where our seniors are encouraged to laugh, sing, dance, learn, explore, and above all celebrate.
The festival gives older people within our community the chance to seek out new adventures, dabble in something new and experience the many amazing things happening in and around our city.
AlburyCity have put together a raft of free activities aimed to inspire and help our seniors find something that they’ll love... and may even continue to enjoy long after the event.
The program includes fitness classes, aqua aerobics, come and try croquet days, a visit to the Men's Shed, tours of the Waste Management Centre, Botanic Gardens and current exhibitions at MAMA, drawing clubs, laser tag, live music performances, tech talks, grandparent's storytimes, free hearing screenings, an historical tour of Albury's CBD, and more.
AlburyCity Mayor Kylie King encouraged our seniors to come along and try something new.
"The festival is designed to give our seniors a taste of some of the great activities available in our city, enjoy a performance, meet people, or even learn something new," Mayor King said.
"We all know the importance of keeping our minds and bodies active and engaged. So if you've been looking for a hobby or want to make some new connections, please come along and check out what's on offer."
