Springsure Art Awards winners announced

The annual Central Highlands Regional Council Art Awards – Springsure recipients have been announced at the official award presentation on Friday night.

Council received 123 entries across 7 categories.

Mayor Kerry Hayes presented the awards and noted the increasing number of works.

‘There are a lot more entries than in previous years,’ said the mayor.

‘It shows growth in the arts for the region. So many entrants of different ages as well. Great to see.

‘Congratulations to the winners and thank you to all the wonderful artists who submitted an entry,’ he said.

One prize has yet to be determined – the People’s Choice Award.

Voting is open now and will run until 19 March 2023, and is limited to one vote per person. The winner will be announced on 21 March via the galleries Facebook page.

All entries will be on display at the Springsure Art Gallery Monday to Friday between 8.30 am and 5.00 pm until 13 April 2023.
