Local children and families have a fantastic new space to play, after works at Fragola Park in Landsdale were completed.
As well as a new playground, the $780,000 project provides a car park and connecting path networks, including a new footpath joining Kingsway Road to the play area for safe access.
The City worked closely with Carnaby Rise Primary School to determine a preferred playground design.
Carnaby Rise Primary School Principal Karen Giacomucci said the park gives students opportunities to build community connections.
“Fragola Park provides opportunities for our children to explore and develop a relationship with the natural environment, gain a sense of freedom and self-exploration and space to imagine and think,” she said.
“The park is a wonderful place for our school community to gather, particularly after school."
