Public notice: Emerald Arts Precinct upgrades

Starting Monday 20 March 2023, access to the Emerald Arts Precinct will be temporarily interrupted while upgrades and improvements are made to the electrical system and garden.
Important dates:
LIMITED ACCESS – Monday 20 March to Monday 17 April
Driveway alongside the library closedPedestrian access is available near the library entranceDance academy and art clubs will be accessible for pedestrians via the hall eastern entrance.EXCESS NOISE – Monday 20 March to Friday 31 March
Driveway concrete cutting and machinery active, intermittent very loud noiseLIMITED ACCESS – Monday 24 April to Saturday 13 May
Entire grassed area closedSome pathways restrictedWorks include – excavation of grass to install circular gravel space, repurposing of mosaic tabletops, seating installation, additional concrete pathways, new feature trees, irrigation, mulch works and laying new lawn turfPOWER OUTAGE – Monday 1 May to Sunday 7 May
Power turned off for all spaces (excluding the library) for the entire weekLibrary will be without power Saturday 6 MayDuring this time switchboards will be replacedPlease be advised: these dates may be subject to change pending weather conditions and the project progression.
