Celebrate Neighbour Day at the City’s Big Breakfast

Community members are encouraged to celebrate Neighbour Day 2023 by taking part in the City of Rockingham’s Neighbour Day Big Breakfast, which will be held on Saturday 25 March at Anniversary Park in Rockingham from 9am – 11am.
Neighbour Day is a nationally celebrated annual event that is held in late March each year, with a focus on creating safer and more connected communities.
At this year’s event there will be free bacon and egg rolls, coffee and ice cream for the first 200 attendees.
There will be several stalls highlighting the City’s popular Neighbour Unite program, Community Safety and Support Services, SmartWatch, Rangers, libraries, Rockingham Youth Centre and pool safety.
The Big Breakfast will also feature free children’s entertainment including face painters and a 60 metre inflatable obstacle course. In addition, Rockingham Rugby Union Club will be there taking registrations and carrying out drills and demonstrations.
“The City has a strong focus on building positive neighbourhood connections, and this event is a fantastic opportunity for community members to create a safer City by connecting with each other,” City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin said.
Neighbours Unite is one City program that helps people to connect and support each other, and attendees will be able to learn more about it at the Neighbour Day Big Breakfast.“It’s important to remind people that community safety starts with you, and we hope to see residents from across the City at Anniversary Park for this popular event.”
