Western Sydney University’s Launch Pad is excited to launch a new program that provides more entrepreneurial skills and training for women and multicultural people to upskill and drive growth in the region. To help start your entrepreneurial journey, we will also announce $150,000 worth of grant funding available.

Speakers Lucy LinWomen & Multicultural Program
Lucy Lin is the Entrepreneur In Residence for the Women & Multicultural Program at Western Sydney University, Launch Pad. She is passionate about inclusive innovation and empowering more diverse founders with knowledge and skills to enter their entrepreneurial journey. A strategic marketing expert, Lucy has spent the past 20 years driving change and scaling growth for startups, universities and corporations. A global citizen and female founder, she has lived and worked in 5 countries (Australia, Japan, Canada, Taiwan & the UK) and champion diversity and inclusion in everything she does.
Carla Dias WadewitzWestern Sydney University, Launch Pad
Carla Dias Wadewitz is the Senior Manager for Innovation Strategy & Services at Western Sydney University, Launch Pad where she helps to drive the university’s innovation strategy and services to students, startups and companies. Carla has spent the last 20 years working with companies and startups across Europe, Australia, US and Asia, where she delivered national and international industry entrepreneurial programs to public and private enterprises. Carla’s career also includes more than 10 years working in investment banking, including venture capital and private equity.
Liza NoonanGreater Cities Commission
Liza Noonan is Executive Director for the Westmead and Macquarie Park Innovation Districts at the Greater Cities Commission. Liza is passionate about Australia’s potential in science-based innovation and the economic opportunities it can generate while doing good for society and the environment. She is a leader in deep tech venture creation, research commercialisation at scale and the application of science and technology in international diplomacy.
Dr Michelle BullQuantal Bioscience
Dr Michelle Bull is a co-founder and Principal Research Microbiologist at Quantal Bioscience and has more than 25 years’ experience working across the food and health sectors, including nearly 20 years with the CSIRO. Quantal Bioscience is a unique science research business developing new knowledge, innovative solutions and novel products using applied microbiology and microbiomics.
