The new Horseshoe Creek Bridge on Horseshoe Creek Road will open to traffic this afternoon, while the new bridge on Old Lawrence Bridge will open to traffic tomorrow (Friday) afternoon.
Piling continues on the new bridge on Collins Valley Road, while one of Council’s bridge crews is pouring abutments on Gears Bridge on Duck Creek Road. Scour protection works are in progress on Mulcahys Bridge on Boomi Creek Road and contractors are working on new bridges on Old Cob O Corn Road, Tims Lane and Baileys Bridge Road.
Sealed roads flood restoration crews are working on Peacock Creek, Kyogle, Findon Creek, and Sextonville roads. The remaining road construction crew is working on the remediation of Clarence Way between Woodenbong and Urbenville. The project is on schedule to be completed by the end of April.
Grading crews are currently doing flood repairs on Edenville, Babyl Creek, Creegans, Roseberry Creek, and Wyndham Roads. The crews will be moving to Applegum, Eden Creek, Koala Grove, Plantation, Leadbeatters Williams, Barnes, Lilli Pilli, MacQueens, Carruthers and Pines roads in the near future.
Drainage repair crews are working on Kyogle, Tabulam, Applegum, Roseberry Creek, Wiangaree Back, Knights, Cedargetters, and MacQueens roads.
Landslip rehabilitation works are underway on Lillian Rock Road, Clarence Way, and Kyogle Road.
