RADF Round 2 recipients announced

Central Highlands Regional Council is pleased to announce that 4 applicants were successful in receiving funding from the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).
The funding is a partnership between state and local governments that invest in quality arts and cultural experiences across Queensland.
‘It is great to see that successful projects will be held across the Central Highlands region,’ said Mayor Kerry Hayes.
‘Congratulations to all the grant recipients on their dedication to increasing arts and culture opportunities in our community and I’m looking forward to seeing these events in our community.’
The successful applicants were:
Amanda Fernie – for developing her style and brand as a ceramic artist and demonstrator through professional development with ceramicist Joe Ottaway. Blackwater Art Society – for a series of pottery workshops that include hand-building, under-glazing skills, and sculptural techniques. Bogantungan Historical Society – for a handbuilding pottery workshop. RAVA Productions – for a professional production of ‘Wind in the Willows’ and drama/dance workshops at Emerald and Capella.Minister for the Arts Leeanne Enoch said as part of this successful, long-term collaboration, the Queensland Government will provide $2.13 million for RADF 2022–2023 to a total of 59 local councils, who will contribute a co-investment amount of over $1.9 million.
“Established in 1991, RADF is a long-standing success story between the Queensland Government and regional councils, enabling local artists and arts workers to tell their rich and unique stories, boosting regional employment opportunities and other positive economic outcomes”, Minister Enoch said.
“For 31 years RADF has provided a legacy of creating new art and cultural experiences for Queensland audiences and communities, and a platform for professional development and growth across the regional arts sector.”
Round 3 of RADF is now open with over $15,000.00 available. Applications are due by Friday 28 April 2023.
