This year’s finalists include established and emerging artists from across urban and regional WA, spanning drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, ceramics, photography and mixed-media. First prize in this year’s competition will receive $10,000 and is non-acquisitive.

City of Rockingham Mayor Deb Hamblin said, “We are thrilled by this year’s extraordinary number of entries. The impressive response clearly demonstrates the active role the City plays in supporting the arts.
“The work the City carried out last year through its Cultural Development and the Arts Strategy to enhance the Rockingham Arts Centre will ensure visitors are able to enjoy a truly stunning exhibition.
“We look forward to celebrating the creative talents of our State’s artists at the Art Prize and sincerely thank all the artists who entered.Art Prize Curator Sandra Murray said the selection panel was impressed by the standard and number of works submitted.
