Cam River Bridge - Pedestrian Pathway

Published on 04 April 2023

The Department of State Growth is continuing to deliver the upgrade of the Bass Highway, between Falmouth Street and East Cam Road in Camdale and Somerset to improve safety, travel time and traffic flow.

As part of this work, pedestrians will need to use a new temporary pathway adjacent to Bass Highway, between Murchison Highway and East Cam Road in Camdale and Somerset. The existing pathway will be temporarily closed to construct the eastern approaches to the new Cam River Bridge.

Pedestrians will use the new pathway from 7:00 am on Tuesday, 4 April 2023 until the new Cam River Bridge is open.

Work will be continuing on this project between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday and should be finished by the end of November 2023, weather permitting. If bad weather does cause delays, work may be required on some Saturdays and Sundays between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm.

We will inform you in advance if the Department of State Growth will need to do any work outside these times.

For the safety of workers and road users, please keep to speed limits and follow the directions of traffic controllers and signs.
