12 April, 2023

The beautiful grounds of Eskbank House will come alive with the sights, sounds, smells, and tastes of some of the Seven Valley’s finest local creatives this Saturday 15 April, from 11:30am – 3:30pm.

Lithgow Mayor Maree Statham said “The Seven Valleys Live and Local project has brought so much musical culture back to our wonderful area. I look forward to seeing the public support for the Artisans Picnic and Eskbank House Museum.”

There will be a special unveiling of some brand-new artworks by local artists and live music performances by some of our finest local musicians, including James Daley, Dane Charlton and Restless Murphy, sponsored by the Seven Valleys Live and Local Music Program.

Entry is free to enjoy the picnic, have a stroll around the grounds and have a play or pose for a photo on the Possum Train. Standard charges apply to enter the museum: Adults $5.10, Concession $2.60 and children under five years are free of charge. There is always something new to discover among the treasures of Eskbank House museum, which is only a short walk to the historic Blast Furnace Park and easy commute from Lithgow’s iconic main street and train station.

Bring your picnic blanket and BYO food or purchase some fabulous local food and coffees at the pop-up food stalls supplied by Café Bar 128 and T.J Rollaway. Puppies are also welcome to attend the picnic with their families, so long as they are happy to be on a lead.

Whether you are new to the area, just passing through or even if your family have been here as long as Eskbank House itself, you’re sure to enjoy the artisan’s picnic.
