Community Infrastructure Draft Long Term Infrastructure Plan 2023/24-2032/33Council moved to;
Approve in principle the draft Long Term Infrastructure Plan 2023/24-2032/33; Place the draft plan on public exhibition in accordance with Council's Community Engagement Policy, from Thursday 13 April 2023 and invite submissions until midnight Sunday 7 May 2023, and; Hear submissions on the draft plan at a Council Meeting to be held on 17 May 2023 at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, Warragul. Strategy and Organisational Performance Draft Revised Council Plan 2021 - 2025 for Public ExhibitionCouncil moved to;
Approve in principle the draft revised Council Plan 2021 - 2025; Place the draft revised plan on public exhibition in accordance with Council's Community Engagement Policy, from Thursday 13 April 2023 and invite submissions until midnight Sunday 7 May 2023, and; Hear submissions on the draft revised plan at a Council Meeting to be held on 17 May 2023 at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, Warragul. Draft Annual Budget 2023/24, Draft Revenue and Rating Plan 2023/24 and Draft Financial Plan 2023/24 - 2032/33 for Public ExhibitionCouncil approve in principle the draft Annual Budget 2023/24 (including the Schedule of Fees and Charges), the Revenue and Rating Plan 2023/24 and the Financial Plan 2023/24 - 2032/33 as required by Section 94 of the Local Government Act 2020.
Council moved to;
Authorise the Chief Executive Officer to give public notice of the preparation of the draft Annual Budget 2023/24, Revenue and Rating Plan, and Financial Plan and make available copies of the documents for public inspection; In accordance with Council's Community Engagement Policy 2021 invite submissions, until midnight Sunday 7 May 2023, and provide submitters with the opportunity to be heard in person by Council; Hear any submissions made in accordance with the Council's Community Engagement Policy, on any proposal (or proposals) contained in draft Annual Budget 2023/24, Revenue and Rating Plan and Financial Plan, at a Council Meeting to hear submissions, to be held on Wednesday 17 May 2023 at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, Warragul; and, Consider the adoption of the draft Annual Budget 2023/24 (including the Schedule of Fees and Charges), the Revenue and Rating Plan 2023/24 and the Financial Plan 2023/24 - 2032/33 at the Council Meeting to be held on Wednesday 14 June 2023 at the West Gippsland Arts Centre, Warragul. Governance and Information Services Appointment of MAV State Conference DelegateCouncil appointed Councillor Michael Leaney to act as a voting delegate for Baw Baw Shire Council at the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) State Council Meeting on Friday 19 May 2023 and requested the Chief Executive Officer to advise MAV in writing of this appointment.
Council noted that Councillor Annemarie McCabe (Mayor) and Councillor Tricia Jones (proxy) remain as Baw Baw Shire Council's substantive MAV representatives.
Mayoral MinuteMayor McCabe reflected on her activities since the last Council Meeting, which demonstrated just how diverse our community is; an event to celebrate Ramadan, Farm World, a meeting with Gippsland Women's Health, and a book launch for Friends of Drouin's Trees, to name a few.
Baw Baw Shire Council have reopened Council Meetings to members of the public.
