2023/2024 Free Green Waste Disposal Days (Domestic Only)

Mareeba Shire Council has set the dates for the 2023/24 Free Green Waste Disposal Days.  This is for clean uncontaminated domestic quantities of green waste only.  Multiple loads will be accepted on these days.

What will be accepted:  clean residential green waste, including:

Grass clippings Pruning’s Leaves Small Branches, up 100mm in diameter

What will not be accepted:

Fire danger season property preparedness tips:

Slash or mow undergrowth (grasses and weeds) within 20 meters of dwellings and other structures and fire breaks around the property’s boundaries. Clear gutters of accumulated leaf litter. Trim or modify vegetation to ensure clearance of structures, not up against walls or overhanging, remove ladder fuels (between knee to eye) to keep fire on the ground. Remove other accumulated dead vegetation (fallen leaves, bark etc) from around assets.
