The Roles:

Heavy Diesel Fitter/Operator: As a Heavy Diesel Fitter/Operator you will be a fully qualified tradesperson and plant operator who will be required to service, maintain and repair all heavy plant and equipment, light vehicles, small plant or other assets owned and operated by Council.

What we are looking for:

You will apply a high level of trade qualification knowledge and skills to ensure that Council’s plant and equipment is repaired and/or maintained in accordance with industry best practice You will need to operate and maintain Council’s heavy machinery including Council’s low loader which is used to transport plant and equipment to and from the workshop and Council depots You will be Heavy Diesel Fitter trade qualified You will communicate effectively and have basic computer application skills

Heavy Diesel Fitter:

The Heavy Diesel Fitter is responsible for delivering a high level of support in the servicing, maintenance and repair of all machinery, plant and equipment and other Council owned assets, as required.

What we are looking for:

You will have high-level trade skills and knowledge in the service, maintenance and repair of Council’s plant and equipment which includes earthmoving machinery, trucks, light vehicles and small engine equipment You will be Heavy Diesel Fitter trade qualified You will work well in a team environment and have effective communication skills
