The shark barrier at Cottesloe Main Beach will be removed for the winter months. Preparation work will commence on Friday, 28 April and removal will occur on Monday and Tuesday (1st and 2nd of May).

Once removed, the enclosure will be transported to a storage facility where it will be cleaned, inspected and packed away.

The protected swimming enclosure was a wonderful addition to the beach over summer and we hope our community enjoyed the extended season.

We look forward to re-installing the enclosure at the beginning of summer later this year.
