Blessing of the Roads is a ceremony that encourages people to work together towards a future with zero road fatalities and road trauma. This year the Shire of Coolgardie was joined by Father Stephan to share his message of road safety before the Easter Long Weekend.
Those in attendance laid sprigs of rosemary as a symbol of remembrance for the lives impacted by serious injuries and the lives lost to road fatalities, followed by a light morning tea at the Kambalda Library made for a great way to start the Easter Break.
We would like to thank our local Community Groups St John Ambulance, the Kambalda Volunteer Fire and Rescue, Kambalda Police, Kambalda West District High School Leadership Group and the Shire of Coolgardie CEO and Councilors for their attendance and help in raising awareness, together we can all make our roads safer.
