Have Your Say to Shape New Health and Wellbeing Strategy
City of Rockingham 10 May 2023
Date10 May 2023

Throughout May the City of Rockingham will be engaging widely with the community to help inform the development of its new Health and Wellbeing Strategy 2023 – 2028.

The Health and Wellbeing Strategy will outline how the City can best support the physical, social and mental wellbeing of the community.

Key elements the strategy will focus on include: physical activity, healthy habits, community capacity, mental wellbeing, volunteering and social connections.  The City will deliver seven workshops with a range of targeted clubs, social groups and not-for-profit organisations.

Community members will have the chance to participate in this process, with three community workshops to be hosted throughout the month.

To ensure as many views as possible are reflected in the new strategy, the City is also conducting an online survey that all community members can complete.

Mayor Deb Hamblin said the City wanted to understand how it can best support the Rockingham community to live a healthy, happy and connected lifestyle.

The City is seeking to build on the success and learnings from our previous Health and Wellbeing and Volunteering Strategies, and input from a diverse range of community members at this early stage is vital.

“The City strongly encourages residents to participate in the workshops on offer and to complete the online survey before it closes on Wednesday 31 May 2023.”
