The City of Rockingham’s latest destination marketing campaign Rediscover Autumn is encouraging visitors from across Western Australia to come and enjoy the wide range of activities that are available in Rockingham as the weather begins to cool down.
A dedicated webpage setup through the City’s visitor servicing provider, Penguin Island Visitor Centre, is now showcasing the number of experiences and tourism products on offer.
Rediscover Autumn is featured across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and is targeting daytrippers, eco-adventurers and people visiting friends and relatives.
As part of the campaign two videos have been rolled out, with the first video highlighting Rockingham’s coastal attractions, and the second video showing off Rockingham’s land based activities.
Mayor Deb Hamblin said Rediscover Autumn is the latest part of delivering the City’s Tourist Destination Strategy.
“For the thrill seekers there are plenty of adrenaline pumping activities available including wakeboarding in Baldivis and skydiving over Rockingham.”
As the place where the coast comes to life, there are opportunities to get up close with nature by snorkelling with sea lions, swimming with wild dolphins or kayaking in the Shoalwater Islands Marine Park.“Those looking for a more laid back adventure can enjoy a variety of walking trails, award winning hiking experiences, or visiting a winery in Karnup.”
