Time is running out for residents to have their say on Gannawarra Shire Council’s 2023/2024 Proposed Budget, with feedback accepted up to 5pm Friday, 26 May.
Council has been asking residents to have their say on the draft version of Council’s key annual financial document since 20 April, which can be downloaded at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/budget or viewed at Council’s Customer Service Centres at Cohuna and Kerang.
“Council thanks all residents who have provided feedback so far, and encourages those yet to do so to have their say,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.
“The 2023/2024 Proposed Budget outlines the Gannawarra’s recovery from the October-December 2022 floods and continues to support key services that our residents rely on.
“The 2023/2024 Proposed Budget also outlines Council’s commitment to maintain our roads, bridges, buildings, footpaths, kerb and gutters, and drainage, with capital investment in these areas increasing by 10 per cent compared to the previous year’s budget.”
Residents can provide feedback regarding the 2023/2024 Proposed Council Budget online at www.gsc.vic.gov.au/budget
“Anyone needing assistance to provide feedback on Council’s 2023/2024 Proposed Council Budget are welcome to visit either the Cohuna or Kerang Customer Service Centres, where Council’s friendly staff are able to help,” Mayor Gillingham said.
All feedback received will help formulate the final version of the 2023/2024 Budget, which is to be presented to the June 2023 Council Meeting, occurring on Wednesday, 28 June 2023.
