A $1 million upgrade of the Boundary and Davis Road intersection in Mount Cottrell is now complete.
The project, which was jointly funded by Wyndham City Council and Melton City Council, included pavement widening and resurfacing to provide a safer and smoother journey.
Works also included improvements to signage and line marking for enhanced intersection safety and road drainage upgrades.
Wyndham City Mayor, Councillor Susan McIntyre, said she was pleased to see works completed and the intersection re-opened to the public.
“As more housing estates pop up in the surrounding area, it’s vital that this busy intersection is safe for all road users,” Cr McIntyre said.
“These works provide enhanced intersection safety and an overall smoother drive in line with Wyndham City’s Road Safety Strategy 2022-2032, which envisions that everyone who travels on our roads and paths will arrive safely at their destination.”
“I’d like to thank Melton City Council for delivering the works as part of the wider Troups Road South upgrade.”
Troups Road South will remain closed while Melton City completes the remainder of the Troups Road South upgrade.
