Burnie City Centre and Gateway Project

Burnie City Council is working on two exciting projects under the banner of Burnie Beats to find and create the beating heart of Burnie by revitalising the CBD and gateway entries to the city.

The City Centre Urban Plan is an exciting opportunity for the community to get involved in reimagining the future of the city.

The Burnie Gateway project will involve the community and artists to think about what the ‘gateways’ to Burnie are and how we can improve the experience of entering the city.

We will be talking to the community in late May/early June and ‘popping up’ to ask questions at the following places:

We are inviting the community to participate by answering some questions, including ‘What do you love about the Burnie City Centre?’ and, ‘What would make you stay longer?’
