Come and lend a helping hand with our Friends of groups at one of the upcoming planting days.
Planting days are a great way to meet new people from your local community, while helping to revegetate some of our favourite Freo parks and reserves.
These events are kid-friendly and great for all ages.
Friends of Samson ParkSaturday 21 May, 9.30–11.30
Come and give the Friends of Samson Park a hand as they plant 1200 seedlings.
They'll have the ground prepared, the seedlings organised and a great crew of people to show you how and where to plant.
There will also be a special brunch organised for afterwards to celebrate the day's work.

Friends of Booyeembara Park9am Saturday 27 May
Join the Friends of Booyeembara Park for this upcoming planting day!
Boo Park was a former landfill site in the 1960s through to the 1980s but you'd never know it thanks to the revegetation works to transform it into the well-loved community park it is today.
The planting day kicks off at 9am – be sure to check out the recently opened Booyeembara Park Mountain Bike Trails while you're there.
Meeting location: Walk through the olive grove from Montreal Street and meet near the storytelling circle.

Friends of Hollis Park8am–2pm Saturday 10 June
Hollis Park is one of Freo's best kept secret pathways connecting South Beach to Hampton Road.
The community lead Friends of Hollis Park have been busy rehabilitating this site for eight years and counting with the plants becoming well-established across the park.
This year's event will primarily focus on canopy infill planting.

Friends of Clontarf Hill9am–12pm Sunday 11 June
Clontarf Hill is an important natural remnant in the Fremantle and Hamilton Hill area and offers some spectacular views from the top.
Join the Friends of Clontarf Hill for their upcoming planting day to learn more about this beautiful bushland, meet new people and help revegetate the area.
Meeting location: The end of Gordon Road, Hamilton Hill.
