Residents can pay their rates via internet or telephone banking, by visiting Council’s website for online payments or by visiting a local Australia Post Office for in person payments.

Council’s website can also be used for many other payments, requests and enquiries, including animal registrations, infringement notices, licensing payments such as pool and spa registrations, permits, and planning and building applications.

Director Corporate Services, Chris Teitzel, encouraged residents to explore Council’s website to see the extent of online services that can save people time.

“The website provides a streamlined way to make your final rate instalments in time for the 31 May deadline,” he said.

“The easiest way to find these sections is on the home page where the most common topics are displayed. We also have translated information in eight languages other than English to assist our multicultural community.”

If you are experiencing financial hardship and are having difficulty paying your rates, or the payment options do not suit your needs, please contact Council Rates and Revenue team on 5832 9700 to discuss an alternate arrangement.
