The City of Wanneroo is calling on the local community to help green their neighbourhood as part of the annual winter planting program.

Wanneroo Mayor Linda Aitken said this year’s conservation calendar included a series of planting events happening across the City, from Koondoola to Quinns Rocks.

“Last year’s events saw an incredible 4,707 trees and more than 20,000 tube stock planted,” she said.

“Our annual winter planting program not only improves the look and feel of our parks and open spaces, but also helps to rehabilitate natural areas and improve biodiversity.

“They’re also great opportunity to get out, meet your neighbours and discover more about your local area.”
